FFEDA TAX Clinic for tax year 2016 to 2019
FFEDAA TAX CLINIC is Collaboration between Facilitator for Family Education Association of Alberta (FFEDAA) AND Community Volunteer Income Tax Program(CVTIP) of Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). This program hosts free tax preparations clinic and arrange for volunteers to prepare tax returns.
FFEDAA TAX CLINIC helps taxpayers who have a modest income and a simple tax situation in line with CVITP policy. This may include:
- Aboriginal peoples
- Social Assistance recipients
- Newcomers to Canada
- Seniors
- Youth
The CRA provides coordinators to guide organizations as they deliver the program and offers training and tax software for volunteers. Volunteers are life blood of community based organization like FFEDAA, therefore, we are requesting four volunteers for FFEDAA Tax Clinic 2017. Volunteers roles
2 Tax preparers: they are role is to prepare tax returns and have at least some experience in preparing tax returns
1 Tax greeter: His role is to greet, scheduling appointments, prepare posters , set up the clinic and pre-screening taxpayers
